Off swinging wild : the Jungle Book trailer is out

The Super bowl 50 audiences were bowled over when they got to see the Jungle Book trailer, the all-new live action animation movie that is yet to be released. It is not just the children who are awaiting the release of this the adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s all-time classic story.

Director Jon Favreau is presenting to the world a much anticipated cast for the voices of all the wild characters. The trailer reveals Neel Sethi’s voice as the central character Mowgli running through

a beautifully created CGI jungle full of animals. The Black Panther Bagheera is voiced by the veteran actor Ben Kingsley, the big cuddly bear Baloo is played by Bill Murray and Christopher Walken entertains us with his voice by  playing King Louie the orang-utan. Scarlett Johansson is Kaa, Lupita Nyong’o is Raksha, Idris Elba is the villain Shere Khan in this intriguing adaptation of the 1967 movie, the Jungle Book.

For those who do not know the story of

Mowgli: Rudyard Kipling created a world filled with talking animals like wolves and bears. Into that world, came a little human baby, changing everyone’s lives.

The Jungle Book is an enchanting story about this little child, brought up by Mother Nature, fighting the odds and ends, making unusual friends and rising against enemies in his own way. Kipling, who had lived in India for a long time, cites the Kanha forest in Madhya Pradesh to be the inspiration behind the adventurous story.

Neel Sethi, who was cast after countless auditions, is excited to be making his debut in a blockbuster movie. Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production President Sean Bailey stated that the fans  would not be disappointed with the movie and that Favreau is trying to say something new with the remake with all due respect to the classic. He also described the movie as one of the most technologically advanced movies ever made.

In the recently released trailer, Mowgli comes to learn the hard way that in order to live in the jungle, he is supposed to make friends with the jungle population.  He is seen fleeing his

wolf-den, scared of Shere Khan’s threat where he declares he is going to enforce the law of the jungle food chain.  Kaa, the hypnotic snake rolls her eyes and hisses at Mowgli when he first meets her. The classic “Bare/ Bear Necessities” song also comes around in a new avatar.

The Jungle Book, the wild imaginations of Kipling set in the true natural wilderness is yet another classic take that we hope would bring out the child and the nature lover in everyone. In a world where development and progress are excuses to stomp over Mother Nature, we expect the movie to inspire all generations to take to protecting her instead of wreaking havoc on our valuable natural resources. Other animated classic movies such as Pocahontas, that inspires one to look back at what humans have been doing to the nature, destroying it for selfish purposes, also have been huge hits in the earlier decades.

Mind-blowing CGI and live action makes the upcoming movie interesting and will probably keep the audience at the edge of their seats. The movie is scheduled to be released on April 15th, 2016. Let us hope that Mowgli gets as wild and adventurous as possible!
