New War Strategy - Reduce Armed personnel, increase destruction |
Developed and developing countries all over the world are trying to reduce the number of military personnel and civilians in the army. All of them are trying to increase the weapon power. Weapons are going Hi-Tech, including nuclear war heads, Stealth Jets and Anti-Satellite Missiles. These are part of broader reforms to modernize the military, moving away from the old Soviet-era command module. Stealth aircrafts are designed to avoid detection using a variety of technologies that reduce reflection/emission of radar, infra red visible light, radio-frequency (RF) spectrum, and audio, collectively known as stealth technology. Now only US Military has in service Stealth aircraft. Many countries including the US are developing anti-satellite technology (modified missiles) to destroy satellites in geosynchronous orbit around the Earth. The satellite has no defense against this and there is nothing that can stop the missile after launch except for the people actually launching it with a self-destruct button. |
Anti-Satellite weapons are the most modern weapon which every country likes to develop. The era of the Strategic Defense Initiative (proposed in 1983) focused primarily on the development of systems to defend against nuclear warheads. However, some of the technologies developed may be useful also for anti-satellite use. But only US, Russia and China had developed this kind. The defense department of India and Israel is working to achieve this goal. Even in the modern Era of Hi-tech weapons, nuclear weapons are the most fearsome and destructive weapon which was developed about seven decades before. Only 8 countries had the nuclear weapon technology, which are Russia, US, Israel, France, UK, China, India and Pakistan. The number of major weapons switching hands around the world was up 14 per cent in the last five years, compared to the five years before that. The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, an independent resource on global security, has released a study that shows that India is the world's largest importer of arms. The report says that Asia was the main importer of weapons in the last five years, as the region races to arm itself ahead of its regional rivals, China and Pakistan. The high levels of Indian imports are also the result of its small domestic arms industry, which means it has to buy weapons from overseas. Russia is the biggest supplier of arms to India, ahead of the US. But US imports are growing. They were 11 times higher in 2011-2015 than 2006-2010. International Peace Research Institute also identified eight rebel forces as importers of major weapons in 2011–15, but none of these forces accounted for more than 0.02 per cent of total |
deliveries. The US was by far the top arms exporter in 2011-15, with a 33 per cent share of the global market. Exports from the US have increased 27 per cent in the last five years. Saudi Arabia is its biggest customer, and aircrafts are its biggest product. As of the end of 2015, the USA had numerous outstanding large arms export contracts, including contracts to supply a total of 611 of its new generation F-35 combat aircraft to nine states. The UK is the sixth largest exporter of arms in the world, with a 4.5 per cent share of the global market. Arms exports from the UK increased 26 per cent in the last five years. In the case of Israel, the sale of weapons to Europe is more than doubled last year to $1.63 billion from $724 million, presumably as a consequence of the refugee crisis and the rise in terror attacks on the continent. Sales to North America also climbed, to $1.02 billion. Some 700 small and medium-sized Israeli companies export defense equipments, but between 75% and 80% of Israeli military exports are generated by just three companies — the state-owned Rafael and Israel Aerospace Industries and the publicly traded Elbit Systems. Most agitating point is, United Nation Organization can’t control the hiking of Arm Industry. The alarming thing is that all the countries have to fear about a Third World War. As happened in the First and Second World War, a small reason is enough for a crisis that can leads to war. If something like that is happened, the World can’t withstand the consequences.. In this century, even a one week war can destroy even a country or even a Continent. So the Peace Organizations all over the World should always be alerted! |
