Pandemic Effect: Luxury is Limiting, New Lifestyle Opens

Work from Home

When economies around the world went into a COVID freeze about six months ago, work quickly moved to the safety of home. But smart and convenient as it is, work from home is not equally open to everybody, and that is not always because of the nature of work itself.

A world bank paper says a country's level of economic development and people’s access to the internet determine the feasibility of work from home. All middle to low-income countries is not ready for work from home (WFH).

The chance of having a work from home friendly job increase with individual income, but not so much in certain countries.

Work from home is not the answer to the economic crisis COVID has caused. It may drive up inequality in wealthy countries, as these

jobs  “are disproportionately held by high-income workers.”                        (News)

On fear of public transport, Used Cars/Bikes sales doubling

People fear of public transport, Used Cars& Bikes sales grow.

The used car and two-wheeler market is buzzing with action.  Since the lock down this segment has attracted attention as people become wary of public transport fearing the spread of the corona virus.  As a result, for  used vehicle marketers business increased than last years sale.  While customers are still rooting for old favourities, their ability to buy  has dropped by 13 to 15% during the lock down, pushing them to scale down  to slightly cheaper wheels.

Used Bike sales are growing at double the speed of used cars. As for used two wheelers, the demand is strong. though financing is a big problem.

Fitness Industry is dull

While the boom in fitness is ongoing, the proliferation of gyms felt excessive in recent years.  Under the pandemic, home gymming has been a huge surge with trainers making house calls.  Another important development is outdoor functional training which takes place in

parks and nature.  Most trainers are typically made men and they are by nature survivers but there has been a huge loss of income due to the pandemic.
