What they says...

“Godhra and Ahmadabad - all are soils where mammoth riots occurred. However, the ordinary men - whom we could meet all the while through this journey - long only for peace and amity to dwell on earth. They all believe in different religions, solidly. No ordinary man of India likes religious conflicts”.

RSS, which supported the British during Second World War, holds no connection with Indian nationality or independence struggle.

Earlier, fascism was understood as an endeavor of silencing people using power. However, the new age fascism is muting constitution using democratic power.

This is an age when qualifications etched in the constitution are mutated to direct opposite character.  The state is resisting even basic rights. Secularism is facing the biggest challenge, today.  Regimes, which came after Nehru, had adopted policies, which appease Hindutva.

The World Bank may describe India and south Asia as a “bright spot” in the world economy.  But we have little reason to rejoice.  The countries banks, especially public sector financial institutions, are groaning under the weight of non-performing assets,  a  euphemism for unpaid loans taken mainly by large private companies.  Investments by the private corporate sector, instead of going up under a right- wing regime, have shrunk  as large capacities have remained unutilized and profits squeezed.

Caste is a factor on campuses of major educational institutions across the country. Campus has become an unsafe place for the discriminated.

The documentary film PLACEBO echoes experiences across the institutions that offer prestige along with degree.

I am apprehensive about the end result,  considering the crass  commercialization of the education system.

“Some asked me that whether Jesus Christ has not said the things that Sree Narayana Guru Swamy had said.  It is natural for ideas of great men to be similar.  Ordinary human will not understand that.  All should study Sree Narayana Guru’s “Daivasathakam”.  I am glad at the activities going on in Government level to spread ideas of Guru Swamy.”

Globalization created  greed.  Only if our farmers get a good price for their produce, the nation is safe.  Instead , globalization has led to farmer's suicides, starvation for the poor and malnutrition and sickness.  We have become so commercialized that we ignore basic values and our environment.  There should be no patent system in agriculture.  Agriculture must grow as a part of the local economy.  As globalization curtails people's rights, democracy needs to be strengthened.
